Cycle 3: What Birds Eat & Trusting God for Our Needs

Objective: Children will explore what birds eat and understand that just as God feeds the birds, He also provides for us.

1. Opening Exploration:

• Show different types of bird food (seeds, fruit, worms in pictures).

• Ask, “Who gives food to the birds? Do birds go to the store?”

2. Bible Connection:

• Revisit Matthew 6:26 and explain how birds don’t worry about food because God provides for them.

• Relate this to how we can trust God to take care of our needs.

3. Hands-On Activity:

• Make a simple bird feeder using a toilet paper roll, peanut butter, and birdseed.

• Let children sprinkle seeds outside and watch if birds come.

4. Closing Reflection:

• Thank God in prayer for always providing for His creation, including us.

• Sing a song about trusting God (“He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands”).
