Cycle 2: Where Birds Live & How God Provides for Them
Objective: Children will learn about bird habitats and how God cares for them by giving them what they need to survive.
1. Opening Discussion:
• Show images of different types of bird nests.
• Ask, “Where do birds sleep? Where do they find food?”
2. Bible Connection:
• Read Matthew 6:26 and explain that God provides food and homes for birds.
• Discuss how birds don’t have to worry because God takes care of them, just as He takes care of us.
3. Interactive Activities:
• Build a pretend bird’s nest using twigs, leaves, and cotton balls.
• Go on a short nature walk to look for birds in trees.
4. Closing Reflection:
• Pray and thank God for providing homes for birds—and for taking care of us, too!
• Encourage children to look for birds during the week and notice how they live.
