The Great Egret with piercingly white plumage is a sight for sore eyes in the Kingwood area. Although they can be mostly found on the banks of Lake Houston, they can also be seen moving to and from water sources, through neighborhoods.
Its primary food source is fish and it'll wade in the water and even sometimes swim in order to get their food.
In the breeding season, the Great Egret puts on an especially unique show when a patch of plumage on their face turns a neon green hue.
