The American Robin is one of the most iconic birds in the United States and similarly in Kingwood. It is one of the easier birds to identify with its charcoal looking back plumage and an orange belly.
Even though Robins are considered "spring birds", they actually have a more active breeding period during winter. But, they are much more difficult to see because they roost in the trees which means they won't be zooming around your backyard in the winter.
Robins eat different food sources depending on the time of day. They are known to eat worms in the morning and fruit later in the day.
