Client Meeting

Getting the Information

You need to write a questionnaire in the form of a Google Form.

Use a combination of :-

  • closed questions - multiple choice questions
  • open questions - text or paragraph questions.

Try to use a combination of both types so you get a good range of information.

Use this link here to take you to the How To site to find out how to use Google Forms

You can either send this questionnaire to your client before the interview so they can see the questions and be prepared, or you can ask them the questions verbally and fill in the answers yourself while you are talking to them.

Find out what your client needs are for the cafe and exactly what they want you to design for them.

  • What do they want you to design
  • Where in the cafe will it be used
  • Who will be using the design

These things along with everything else you are going to ask will help you to write the specification later.

Do this exercise together as a class to get a selection of question ideas for your questionnaire.

Sharing the Information

You can present the answers that your client gives you however you like :-

  • Google Doc
  • Google Presentation
  • Google Drawing
  • As sentences outlining what the answers are
  • As diagrams or graphs

Make sure you embed this information onto your DVC Google Site.

You will use these answers later to help you to write the design brief and specification.
