The main idea for these was to fill in the space of one of the zoomed-in shoes with buildings. I wanted to take the empty space and fill each section with some type of building or building characteristic. For the 3 zoomed-in shoes the only materials used were graphite on drawing paper, but for the Abstract shoe, I used a fine-tipped marker on drawing paper. I used a variety of tip sizes to experiment with the thickness of the lines and how well they shaded. The 3 Zoomed Views had little to no process, I just wanted to zoom in on a part of my shoe drawing that had enough lines to allow for the space to be zoomed in on three times. When it came to the Abstract Shoe, that is where I spent the most time trying to figure out what I was doing. I wanted to practice my skills when it came to buildings so I found detailed homes that would be fun to draw. I kept it in black and white because I also wanted to use the hatching method and see if I could get the hang of it. I find hatching to be a lot less stressful than colored pencils or paint.
