Scratchboard 

The prompt for this assignment was to create a realistic image on scratchboard based on an image that we had taken. This was made using, you guessed it, scratchboard.  For this piece, I did not go through any major thought processing as I was not creating anything new, I was just copying an image. I did decide that I did not want to do the background in the original image because I wanted the focal point to be solely on the dog. Because of that, there were some areas on the edge of the face and ear that were purely black with no white hair to outline them. Hence why some of the spots where there should be a nose, ear, or eye, are just black. I thought it would look too weird and out of place if I gave them an outline.
