Arrive Alive

The prompt for this assignment was to create something that went with the theme of "arrive alive" and distracted driving. It was made using a plain old graphite pencil on drawing paper. There was a lot of thought that went into this. I wanted to create something that showed the panic of someone's last moments while showing the theme of distracted driving. I made the lines harsher and fuzzier the closer the car got, and in the last panel I made the car as shaky as possible to show the sheer panic of the driver and her realizing the situation she was in. I also chose to make only the words "Mom" and "I'm sorry" bold to show their importance over the other words on the phone screen.
