Whatchamadraw

The main idea that guided my artwork was the prompt "A lollipop having a conversation with a chocolate bar" I figured that would've been the easiest one for me to draw, and I already had imagined how to draw it in my head.

The materials used for this artwork were an HB pencil, colored pencils, and a thin sharpie. I first used the HB pencil to lightly draw the lollipop and chocolate bar then I went to the colors, I wanted to make the chocolate bar a little more realistic so I went with a darker brown on the sides and bottom, shown in the picture. I also took darker shades of the colors on the lollipop and shaded it to give it that swirly effect.

I looked up pictures of lollipops and chocolate bars to get inspiration and It took me 2 tries to make the final drawing. The first time was just a quick draft then the second one was a bit more detailed, as I used it to see which colors I wanted to use for the final drawing. I wanted to make the lollipop and chocolate bar pop out more so I added color.
