Scratchboard

The main idea that guided this artwork was to use scratchboard and scratch something realistic. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do but I ended up making a moon. 

The material I used for this artwork was a pointed blade and holder on scratchboard paper. 

At first, my moon was looking more sort of realistic but the more I scratched the less realistic it looked, I'm not really happen with the end result because it doesn't really look like a moon but now I know what to do differently. I had a hard time making it look gray, I tried to scratch lightly but it still looked white.
