Sgraffito

The main Idea for this art project was to create a design on clay which is also called sgraffito. I decided to make flowers, clouds, a sun, and some dragonflies. 

The material I used for this was a ball-end clay carving tool, I didn't have a technique for this project I just followed my sketch lightly on the dry clay and went over it after.

I didn't know how it was going to turn out so I decided to do something simple but cute and the final artwork was what I came up with. I originally was going to just draw the flowers and 2 clouds but the top looked still empty so I added more clouds until I thought it was enough. Doing this project, I thought that it was going to take forever but it was pretty quick and easy to do.
