Ink, Charcoal, Graphite on Watercolor Paper
The main goal of this piece was to draw Connor Brown flailing around whilst eating dirt. I drew him on a baseball field as he was going from the pitcher's mound to home plate while licking the ground. I feel that I captivated the situation quite well, though it might be hard to decern the dirt on the ground.
I used ink and charcoal on watercolor paper. To make the charcoal lighter I used white chalk to change the shade of certain areas.
I started my drawing the grass in the top right corner. After that, I began drawing the body, starting with the shoe and moving downwards. I used ink to draw the shadow inside Connor's shirt and used charcoal for the rest. I used white chalk to help change the shades for the lighter areas. I ended by drawing the shadow beneath Connor and the sand around him along with the grass in the top left.
