Assembalige

The main idea of this piece was to make an assemblage sculpture of a very large sharpie. To do this I had to turn my 2d sketch into a 3d sculpture. I used paper from the art room to cover the sculptures skeleton. I think that I was successful in doing this. I think this because my sculpture looks like a sharpie and I sued the proper materials.

I used paper, construction paper, wire, glue, and tape to create this sculpture.

I began by creating a skeleton for my sculpture. I did this by crumpling large pieces of paper into the shape i wanted them in, and then wrapping it in tape. After this I took pieces of construction paper and dipped them in a half glue half water mixture. I then layered them onto the skeleton to create the sharpie. FInally, I molded some wire to create the clip on the cap of the marker, taped it, and put paper on it.
