The Hole in Someones Heart
Markers, Colored Pencils, Bristol board
9" x 12"
This piece includes a man standing in a green field with a blue sky in the background whilst having a circular hole in his heart where his heart should be. I made this piece for my Donate Life project because it shows how people who need organ or tissue transplants need people to donate. Without a donation they will have a hole in their heart.
I used markers and colored pencils on bristol board. I used colored pencils for the teardrop and the flesh around the hole and markers for the rest.
I started by drawing an idea for my project as a sketch. After that I drew the person out on bristol board for sketching the hole and that background. I then colored in the person black, the ground green, and the sky blue. I also drew the teardrop and flesh, this time with colored pencils. I finished by adding my text in the cloud region using a light board.
