Nighttime

8" x 11.5"

Paper, graphite

This main idea of this piece was to create a graphite drawing of a nighttime landscape. I think that I was successful in doing this. My drawing came out clean and in the way that I was imagining it. I added the tree and the grave as details and I think that they came out well. This moon also looks very good. The stars could have been better, some are a bit uneven, but they are pretty good.

For this drawing I used a regular piece of drawing paper and graphite.

I began by drawing out the general sketch of the drawing. The first thing that I drew was the outline of the moon. Then I drew the hill, the tree, then the graves. After that I drew the stars, but I eventually had to redraw all of then because I made them to small. When I would draw the background they would look like squares, which I didn't like. Finally I drew the grave and then colored all of it in.
