Colored Pencils and Graphite on Printmaking Paper

The main idea of this project was to make a realistic drawing of an assortment of candy. I feel that I did a very bad job on this. None of the candy looks realistic, and the shadows look very bad. In my opinion, this is my worst piece of the year.

I used a variety of colored pencils on printmaking paper for this piece. I also used graphite for the outlining of the candy shaps, though it is now erased.

I began by taking a picture of an assortment of candy. Then, I printed the paper out to use a reference. I then copied the outline of the candy onto my paper. After that, I used colored pencils to fill in and shade in the color of the drawing. Finally, I added shadowing onto the background of the paper itself to add depth to the drawing.
