Graphite on drawing paper

Abstract Shoe

Watercolor, gel pen, graphite pencil, colored pencil, watercolor paper

The main idea for my pieces of artwork are a zoomed part of the shoe that I drew and an abstract version of one of the zoomed parts of the shoe that I drew. My idea for the abstract version was to draw something similar to a drawing I created in my sketchbook a few days prior. Something that had to do with mushrooms and flowers.

The materials I used to create these pieces of artwork were for my zoomed shoe, graphite pencil , and drawing paper. For my abstract part of my zoomed shoe was graphite pencil, watercolor, colored pencil, gel pen, and watercolor paper,

The process for these drawings were mostly simple, for the first drawing at least. For the zoomed shoe I has to prick a spot on my shoe drawing with a viewfinder and draw what I saw in that viewfinder and continued zooming in until I got my thrid zoom. For the abstract zoomed shoe I chose to draw the last version of the zoomed shoe and created a mushroom forest with night and day. I started by drawing the vines along the middle part and then drew some mushrooms from there.  When it was completely sketched out I first started with watercolor and created the night and day areas. Then the tree and so on. After all the base color was added, I added more detail with fine-tipped gel pens. Soon after all of the detail was added with gel pen, I went back in with metallic watercolor and added even more detail.
