Extended blind contour drawing

 The main idea for the piece of artwork is flowers. I wanted to do something with flowers for this project I just didn't know exactly what. Because it is an abstract piece of art I wanted to incorporate flowers somehow. 

I used watercolor paper, black pastel and water colors, and a 2H graphite pencil.

The process for this was first to make 3 blind contour drawings with black pastels. Then I figured out what I wanted to make out of the 3 blind contour drawings. I knew I knew I wanted to incorporate flowers into the piece somehow. So I started off by making a flower and just kept on creating things from there.
