Map Design

The main idea for this project was to create a piece of art around of art resembling a line that is personally important. I personally drew a line from Freeport to sugar loaf, and I used this in the form of a butterfly and its trail. I used lupins to fill the state of Maine because they are a native flower and I personally love how it came out. The paint could be a lot less splochy but I like it the more I look at it.

The materials I used were canvas paper and fine point pen along with acrylic paint

The process of making this was a bit challenging because I originally couldn't think of an idea. But once I figured out what I wanted to do, I drew the outline of Maine and started building on top of it. I liked the way it turned out and I think the line from Freeport to Sunday river is pretty clear.
