The main idea of this unit was to make drawings look realistic by shading , and adding perspective from that and we put the skills that we learned into the last drawing we made of candy still life. We are trying to make the candy look as realistic as we can by performing the skills we learned, from the practice drawings.

The materials I used for these projects were graphite pencil on drawing paper- the line perspective drawings,  color pencil, watercolor and marker on watercolor paper- shaded spheres , and color pencil and graphite pencil on pastel paper- candy still life drawing. I chose the color pencil for the final candy drawing because I liked the best how the shading with them came out.

The first step I started on the candy still life project was sketching the outline of the candy with a 2h graphite pencil, when I finished that I started coloring with the color pencil. I shaded with the color pencil and used different shades of the same color to shade and use dark and light colors to shade.  I also added where the shadows accrued. This was to make the art as realistic as I could.  I used more than one layer when coloring with the color pencil so it would color up as much white, but I could of done a better job with doing that though. Overall I think the final drawing (candy still life) drawing came out pretty good, there are some things that I could have done to make it better.
