Leaky Cauldron Piggy Bank

To start this project I drew up a few diagrams which I ended up not using and just winging most of it. (it worked out). On the first day, I got all the base slabs cut out and to size. Then I started making all the walls for the first piggy bank. I started with the back wall of the Leaky Cauldron, it has cut-out bricks as the doorway to Diagon Alley. I added all the details before assembling the walls so some had to be redone once everything was attached. I made the lid which I learned I should've made a lip over the edge so that it didn't end up warping upward as the first one did. Once it was Bisque fired I started glazing. I glazed it, using firebrick red for all the brick pieces, black and mixed a yellowish orange for the windows, and made my own brown for the doors. White was used for the lettering on the front. Added the finishing touches and it was glaze fired.Â
