Art History

Some ideas that are evident in my art is the fact that it is a landscape drawing. I decided to do this project this way because I have always wanted to make a "good" landscape picture and this was my chance to know I could get feedback. This project relates to my life because I love the outdoors and pretty landscapes. I chose to do this because the people I chose Claude Monet 1840-1920 and Andrew Wyeth 1917, Andrew did landscape and Claude did impressionism so what things looked like not what it should look like, and it inspired me to to landscape and Claude's famous "Water Lilies".

To make this picture I used bristol board, colored pencils, oil pastels, a tortillin and a graphite pencil.

First I cut out a 11 inch by 11 inch piece of bristol board. Then I drew out my waterfall trees, rocks, and rocks. Then I colored in the trees with colored pencils. Then I colored in my rocks and hills with oil pastel. After that I blended in my waterfall to make it look swirly and cool. Then I added the splashes and my water lilies. My project started as a blanc piece of paper then it had a sketch then some color then some more color then I finished it off with more color. My next step would be to add more complex pieces like make my tree look more 3D and my waterfall as well.
