Collagraph Prints and Plate

My art shows the times of day and what they each look like. The story is how I like night and day and this shows that. This project relates to my life because my family does a lot of activities during the day and at night we play games, go for walks, pick of trash and recycling on the road, and watch movies. I chose to make this because it shows the outdoors and I like to outdoors very much.

For this project I used cardboard for the plate and the design, I used glue to hold it down and to seal it, I also sealed it with varnish.

To make this art piece I started by cutting out my plate then I thought of designs and chose my favorite one which was sun and moon. After this I arranged it on the plate, then I glued down the pieces, I waited for it to dry then I coated it with glue, once that was dry I sealed it with varnish. My project evolved from blank cardboard to an art piece. My next steps could be to make sure all the pieces stay glued flat.
