Realistic Self-Portrait

The story behind my art is it shows the way contrast in peoples mind about how things look and the values of them. It also shows how the value of blacks, grays, and whites can affect the way you can see an image. It relates to my life because it shows that things can change and be different but you should not judge them. It is 9x12 Inches.

I used a photograph that I took, Graphite Pencils, and Tortillions.

I started out by taking a photo and printing it in black and white. Then I gridded the photo and a paper. Then I went square by square to color in the picture and then I blended it. It started as a blank paper then it went to all the black done then all the darker grays and lighter grays then white-ish. I could have gone row by row instead of doing all one color at a time.
