Candy Still LIfe

My work show what candies I love. It relates to my life because I eat candy a lot and it shows that I can be sweet and sour. I chose these candies because they are the candies that I love the most. This still life is 12x9 inches. The spheres are also 12x9 inches.

I made the spheres by drawing circles and choosing an area for a light source then I drew cast shadows. After I used chalk pastels, oils pastels, colored pencils, and watercolor to make the spheres. To make the Candy Still Life I layed out the candy and then I drew the candy. After I colored the candy and made shadows and highlights. Then I painted the background and border.

I blended the chalk and oil patel. Then I made everything come to unity by contrasting the background. At first It was just a sketch of what I wanted it to be then it got some color and then shadows and highlights after the background was finished it was a finished piece. I could make the the Dots boxes more 3D. I blended the chalk and oil to make the spheres, and layered the colored pencil and watercolor. It started as circles the some color then finished. I could have taken more time for the watercolor sphere.
