Painting

The story behind this collage and painting is, I didn't have magazines at home but my mom used to scrapbook so I used some of her scrapbooking paper and labels from objects I found in the recycling to make my collage. It is a classroom, I was just putting all of my objects on the paper and I realized that it didn't look so good. After I realized my mom said my cupcake liners looked like rugs and I thought fun classroom. This project relates to my life because I have a fun creative lifestyle, and I like animals. My collage and painting are both 9x12 Inches.

For these projects I used mixed media paper, muffin/cupcake tins, labels for recyclables, scrapbooking paper, design paper, acrylic paint, a graphite pencil, paint brushes, palette knife, palette, water, and paper towels.

To make this I started with many different objects that had labels or designed paper. I cut these things into shapes and other pieces. After this I thought of a scene and put it together. When I was done I taped down all the objects to my paper. After this I sketched out the scene on another piece of paper. I then started with the letters in the background and the wood floors. After this I did the rugs and the hat air balloon pictures. When I finished that I painted my to little guys, and the desks, and my name at the bottom. My project started as two pieces of blank paper then one with color, one with some color, and then both finished with all the color they needed. My next steps could be to add the stars on the candy corn rug, and make the floor much lighter to match the collage a little better.
