Do It Better

Do It Better Solve a World Problem

What I Did

What did I do. I decided to revisit the solve a world problem project. I decided to revisit it because I felt like I didn't do very well the first time we did this project. I also decided to change what the project was based on period. The first time we did this project, our group tried to solve some problems with tornadoes. This time I decided I wanted to focus on something that effects everybody.

Since I didn't want to do tornadoes again, I decided to solve the plastic bag problem. This was a tough problem to try and solve, but I eventually found a possible solution. My solution was to replace plastic bags with corn starch bags. All the old plastic bags could be recycled into road pieces.

How I Did It Better

How did I do it better. I did it better by changing our original idea. Changing from tornadoes to plastic bags made the project better because it allowed us to cover a topic that effected more people. I also improved our previous project by going more in depth and thinking of a better solution. The solution I created now was much more well thought out than the solution for our previous project.

What I Learned

I learned that I should really think about the nature of the project we are working on. For example the original project I decided to redo was the Solve A World Problem project. In our original group, we decided to try and minimize damage from tornadoes. I know that we should have done something else because tornadoes are not a world problem because the do not effect many people.

The second thing I learned was to go far in depth describing solutions. Our original presentation was shallow and didn't explain our plan very well. In the future I will have to change that.
