Collaborator

I learned about collaboration a lot in band this year. I practiced being a collaborator in band by meshing my sound with everyone else. I also had to work with others on my volume level so that certain people could be heard easier than others. I also had to work together with my instruments when we did sectionals. We would have to work in a group to develop each song.

Communication

I learned communication in many different ways this semester. The first thing about communication is which part we wanted. We had a limited number of each part, so had to communicate to our group about which one you wanted to do. Another way we practiced communication is when we had to communicate if there was something wrong with our instrument. I had many issues with mine this semester, and had to communicate to the teacher that I was going to get it fixed and ask about what I could do while it was being repaired.

Reflection

For all of the songs, I think I played as well as I can. I played great, but I could have made improvements. I missed many pieces of articulation. I did play some of the crescendos, but not all. I also feel like I may have played to quiet, as I cannot hear myself. But other from missing some articulation, I did not miss many notes, if any. I think next time we practice songs, I need to reallt focus on articulation.
