Capstone Part 1
Content
We have been given a full year to come up with ideas and build a product that meets a human or societal need for our senior engineering project. We have been advancing our engineering skills and assisting the project all during this project. We have opted to build a shelf that maintains track of inventory when objects are added to or taken off of it.
We have developed survey questions, a list of requests and wants, and the shelf's human-centered design after sorting through all the potential components we would require for this project. Together, all of these factors will serve to direct the project's further development and progress our research and design efforts.
Reflection
Even though this project was successful, I still need to finish a few items. For my upcoming task, I must study more diligently. I occasionally struggled to concentrate, which made it difficult for me to complete my assignment on time. Limiting my exposure to outside distractions is necessary. While working alone at home, I also developed good working practices, but I lacked my coworkers' level of motivation.
Critical thinking and inventiveness were my strong suits. I had to use my critical thinking skills more than I usually do while working in groups because I had no one to help me. Every week I had to acquire new ideas and perspectives, so I had to be creative as I worked on the drawing instructions. I thought this project went fairly well overall, and I'm eager to learn more about the next one.
