This is my third year competing as a Division II athlete, and being a student-athlete is a significant part of my experience at Dominican. As a long-distance runner on the Men's Cross Country Team and a middle-distance runner on the Men's Track and Field Team, I achieved my first personal record (PR) for an 8k in my freshman year. Running helps me manage stress, allowing me to explore the beautiful trails of Marin County. Being part of the Penguin family means a lot to me; the athletic department is incredibly supportive, and Dominican Athletics truly embodies inclusivity and diversity, providing numerous resources for its athletes.

The Honors Program at Dominican University has been an essential part of my pursuit of excellence, providing a unique path for students dedicated to high academic and personal standards. Since becoming a member in Spring 2023, I have participated in a curriculum centered on active and reflective learning, with a focus on global leadership opportunities, faculty-led trips, and projects that promote intercultural understanding, social responsibility, and global connections. This experience aligns closely with the university's core values of study, reflection, community, and service.

Being part of the peer mentor team holds a special place in my heart as it has allowed me to take on a leadership role on campus. As a digital portfolio peer mentor, I work closely with Christina Mayes to provide asynchronous feedback to first-year and transfer students, helping them improve their portfolios.

Our mission in PRIDE Club is to create a space that encourages cultural and historical awareness while empowering our members to actively support and uplift our communities. As PRIDE Club President, my goal is to make sure LGBTQIA+ students feel safe, seen, and supported on campus.
We're also working on hosting fun, inclusive events that reach beyond just our club—something the whole campus can enjoy. One event I’m especially proud of is our annual drag show, which has been going strong for two years now. We’ve had the honor of welcoming some absolutely fabulous queens to campus, including Mahlae Balenciaga, Jaymelah Moore, Delilah Befierce, Curveball, and Hera Wynn!

The Penguin Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (PSAAC) represents student-athletes across various sports and aims to enhance their overall experience by promoting opportunities, well-being, community outreach, and inclusivity. In the upcoming 2024-2025 school year, I will serve on the E-Board as part of the Social Media team alongside my Track & Field teammate, Bella Bueno.

The CORE Curriculum Committee makes key decisions that significantly impact the nine courses all Dominican students must complete. Although I’m new to the committee, I joined to ensure student representation, believing that increased student input on various issues can help Dominican grow and improve even further.
