POST CLASS REFLECTION - INDIVIDUAL PROGRESS
Approaching the finish line for the trimester, but I am struggling to keep my composure and motivation. It's a blessing that we were able to not attend class this week because I am very exhausted, like I stated in my reflection last week. I am somewhat worried for my upcoming performance for this unit as I'm finding it very hard to stay motivated and do what needs to be done.
My fear is that I will drop the ball right before the project's due and let down my other group members. It's different when your in a group compared to working individually on these projects, you'd have to be pretty irresponsible/unempathetic to complete drop the ball on your teammates; but alas that is my fear. This isn't an isolated issue for this unit, it's for all my units. This is my first time with a proper three unit full-time workload and I could possibly bare the load if I wasn't working as much as I was, but that is unfortunately something that I cannot alter.
POST CLASS REFLECTION - GROUP DYNAMICS
During this week's Zoom call it was dead obvious how drained I was, I didn't even need to say anything about it as the other's commented about it. Cody had already mocked up a draft of what the website could look like as well as a concept for the logo, which we ended up liking and deciding on that logo to be the company's logo. We also finally decided on the application to create the website, carrd. The last of the tasks for the project were delegated between us four as followed:
Kieran - Homepage/info.
Jack - Visual services.
Cody - Website visuals.
Nicholas - Audio services and visuals.
At this point we were all stressing because we were a week away from presenting and had only just now started collating everything into the website. The day after the Zoom I managed to create the audio services package and send it off to Kieran. The second of my two tasks was the task I shared with Cody (the visuals). The task of the colour schemes and what photos we were going to use fell to me, whereas the website design was Cody's responsibility although he had already acquired research to use as reference when deciding on what colours would suit the website.
We are behind due to a lack of communication, but I think everyone except for Cody is also feeling the pressure of crunch time at SAE with their other units. Not to say that Cody isn't feeling the pressure as he stated work was starting to get a lot more hectic, but also this is his only unit. We also were not able to organise another Zoom call in regards to getting the group together for photos at SAE. Looking past the fact we are not further along where we would prefer to be, the pieces of the project are falling together and if we can push past these few uncomfortable days ahead before our presentation, I have faith we will have a quality project ready to present.
