About Studio Fitness at QMC

QMC has an excellent range of fitness facilities, including a well-equipped fitness suite, functional fitness area, studios, halls and outdoor spaces, as well as links with other fitness venues around Basingstoke.


Delivery:

Activities will take place between 1:30 and 3:00 pm each Wednesday afternoon across the academic year.


Content:

There will be a rolling programme that includes gym training, studio cycling, circuit training, bodyweight classes, Bootcamp, Step, etc.

The sessions will be planned to accommodate all levels of experience, ability and fitness levels. Bridget Heath, who will be leading the programme, has over 20 years of experience in fitness instructing and personal training across a broad range of exercise styles.

Not only are there physical fitness benefits from taking part in these activities such as increased strength, stamina, flexibility and better sleep, but research also shows that mental health can be impacted positively through regular exercise - mood is improved and anxiety and depression reduced.

All QMC students have the opportunity to join the gym to complement this programme and maintain their health and wellbeing.
