Coaching Qualifications

Course Information

Did you know that Queen Mary's is the only college in the local area where you can qualify as a sports coach alongside your A Levels and vocational courses?

By the end of your first year you will have a Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Learning in Physical Education and School Sport and will be able to find part-time work coaching in schools and the local community.


By the end of the second year you will have a Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Multi-Skills Development in Sport and will be able to coach independently


Pre-requisites

Any QMC student is welcome to take the course regardless of what else they are studying

A combination of written tasks and practical session delivery

Course description

By the end of your first year you will have a Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Learning in Physical Education and School Sport and will be able to find part-time work coaching in schools and the local community.


By the end of the second year you will have a Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Multi-Skills Development in Sport and will be able to coach independently.

The course also includes the planning and delivery of an event. Previous examples have included; Superstars, High 5 netball Tournament and Cross Country.

Delivery

1 x 2.5 our lesson per week. September start.
