About Badminton at QMC

The college has enjoyed some success with Badminton in the past, with various competitions being run throughout the Hampshire regions. This is a great introduction to the sport whether you have played before or are new to the sport, as such we welcome all standards.

Training:

Training occurs with an enthusiastic squad on Wednesday afternoons 12:30 - 13:30 in the College's sports hall. All equipment is provided, you just need to ensure you bring suitable clothing and footwear.

Competition:

There are many different competitions that run throughout the year, these range from participation events, to the more competitive AOC fixtures. QMC have been represented in many of these tournaments in the past and you will have the opportunity to participate in competitions at the appropriate level, in both singles and doubles.

Other opportunities:

The are many links to Badminton Clubs in the region with the South East Centre of Excellence located in Winchester. In addition, Basingstoke Sports Centre run an annual tournament to identify any potential players to join clubs in the local area.

Cost:

£20 per year which includes provision of facilities, transport and affiliation fees.
