Reading

I can explain the changes characters undergo by using adjectives to describe the characters and text evidence to support the change.

Writing

I can write compound sentences, and provide text evidence to support an answer.

Math

I can compare and order numbers up to 1,000,000.I can use the terms greater than, less than and equivalent to when comparing . I can recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right.

Social Studies

I can develop an understanding of the concept of regions by learning about the four physical regions of Texas: Mountains and Basins, Great Plains, North Central Plains, Coastal Plains.

Science

I can compare states of matter and identify the particle arrangement and movement of the three main states of matter, solids, liquids, and gasses.

I can use the words solids, liquids, and gasses to compare how these states of matter are different.

Parent final STAAR assessment results should be available in the Family and Analytic Portal.

Slaughter Elementary will be participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. If your child would like to donate $1 on Fridays, they can wear a hat to school. At the end of the year, we will donate all money raised to the American Cancer Society. Have your child give their dollar to their teacher. Thanks so much for your support!
