We will label the structural elements (line, line break, stanza, rhyme scheme), then choose 2-3 examples and explain their impact/why the author may have included them.

Writing

Students will write a poem that includes a clear central idea with supporting details.

Math

We will determine if two given fractions are equivalent. We will describe how to find an equivalent fraction using a pictorial representation.

Social Studies

Students will learn about the challenges faced and successes achieved by the people of the Republic of Texas.

I can determine how wind, water, and ice cause weathering, erosion, and deposition.

I can explain how landforms change from weathering, erosion and deposition.

Starting as early as preschool and kindergarten, regular attendance is essential for students gaining the academic and social skills they need to thrive. Research shows that when students are chronically absent (missing 10% or more of the school year or 18 days over an entire year), they are less likely to read proficiently by third grade, achieve in middle school and graduate from high school.
