Femininity is a strange concept
Beautiful but strange.
Put into such a thin boundary
Of dresses, makeup, jewelry
Beauty.
Girls in long skirts and fitted crop tops
Only seen on the outside.
Our exterior beauty.
Clear skin, almost porcelain
Not a hair out of place
The perfect example of
Perfection.
Femininity is more than the exterior
Makeup and dresses.
There’s imperfection.
But when we think of imperfection
We think of things that aren’t perfect
As failures.
On the inside
Femininity is far from
Perfection.
But that is the most beautiful part of
Femininity.

It doesn’t matter if they have
Short hair
Or
Long hair.
Or maybe just
I’m between.
It doesn’t matter what gender they were born as
Because a woman can look like anything.
But one thing that stands true among all women,
Is that they are strong.
Breaking stereotypes every day
Fighting gender norms.
It’s amazing how women
Get through their day to day life
Seen as less than a man.
Cis women seen as weak
Trans women seen as men
Women of color seen as less than.
But one thing remains true,
Women are strong
And so are you.
