Consider Water, choreographed by Davalois Fearon.
Dancers: Lucia Rodriguez, Davalois Fearon, Jaqi Medlock, and Morgan Anderson.
Original Music by Mike McGinnis
Consider Water is inspired by global and domestic water issues, such as water quality, pollution, and scarcity. According to the Davalois Fearon Dance website, it combines three types of artistic expression, dynamic and fluid dance, original music, and visual art. The piece shows off the beauty of water in its three stages, showing the joys and how it contrasts with the devastation of water access issues. There are many different types of movements in the piece, like crouching and running, but also sudden pops, which all come together to represent how lucky Americans are to be able to get clean water so easily. Consider Water also has scenes showing natural disaster and storms that water causes, and so the impact of water is presented in a lot of different lights. She is bringing up the importance of water in our daily lives in a form that we usually don't see, because water is essential for life, and far too many people in the world do not have access to clean water and water services. Consider Water can spread awareness in a different way that everyone can understand, through its storytelling and the music.
