Childhood:
grew up in Tacoma
her mother was Dominican and her father Puerto Rican-Jamaican
started dancing when she was two
she was inspired by Black artists and writers including Josephine Baker, Arthur Mitchell, James Baldwin, and Alive Walker
Some of Her Accomplishments:
in 2011 when she was 14 years old she received a scholarship Pacific Northwest Ballet School (PNB)
joined PNB in 2017 as the first Black woman soloist
in 2019, she began the Seattle Project; a community of artists that creates new works that are "accessible to the community and uplifts BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists"
very vocal in addressing injustice and inequality
