Founded in 2009-present, Grown Women Dance Collective is a dance group based in California that uses dance and wellness to create social justice. They challenge the stereotypes of aging and create artistic work that is relevant, accessible and inspiring to diverse and under-resourced audiences. They use art in an impactful way that has influenced the community through ideas like: you don't need to wait for someone else to make a change before you start, and everyone must participate as individuals to be successful as a culture.
