One of Tokuda's key contributions to the world of classical is MIRAGE Performing Arts, a collaborative group of musicians and dancers who aim to "push the boundaries of disciplinary divides" in order to create a "meaningful performance experience." The group was founded by Yuki Tokuda and pianist Rie Tanaka in 2019.
MIRAGE Performing Arts has taken a diversifying approach in choosing venues for their performances. To date, they have put on nine original productions in locations ranging from city streets to concert halls in both the United States and Japan.
Notably, the group performed the "Virtual Holiday Benefit Concert 2020," which raised over $1,000 for a relief fund to help families in extreme poverty during the COVID-19 pandemic. The concert featured a performance of The Nutcracker as well as several solo piano works by Tchaikovsky.
