Navigating Course Content
At the top of each of your courses is a navigation bar with the following tools:
Content
Calendar
Announcements
Discussions
Gradebook
Messages
Groups
Achievements
Located on the right side of the screen is additional information about the class.
Roster
View profile cards for all course participants.
Course Description
Read goals, expectations, and the course approach.
Progress Tracking
Check what you’ve completed and what remains (if enabled).
Attendance
Review your attendance record (if provided).
Groups
View or join groups set up for the course.
Announcements
Read all course announcements.
Books & Tools
Open course and institution tools.
To navigate your weekly course materials:
Select any item (assignment, document, link) to open it
Use Exit to go backward
Select folders or learning modules to expand and view additional content.
If enabled, your professor will provide Progress Tracking indicators to monitor completion.
Look for the purple speech bubble to spot new activity on discussions, journals, or item conversations.
On the Course Content page, select the Search icon (magnifying glass).
Type a few letters of the item title/keyword.
Pick a matched item from the list or select Show all item results to view the full results panel, then choose your item.
To search again, click out of the field (or delete the text) and enter a new keyword.
Select Clear search to close detailed results and return to Course Content.
The search layout may display differently if your browser isn’t full screen.
Select the course title link to put the content you wish to view
The page will refresh and you will be taken to the that content
Select the web link on Course Content.
The site may open in a panel or in a new browser window depending on how your Professor set it up.
If you see a banner warning some content may not display in the panel, choose Open in a new window for full access.
