What is ScreenPal?
When you want to record a presentation, slide deck, your desktop and/or both, use ScreenPal.
This is a free, easy to use, cloud based, screen capture tool. The free account gives you a 15 minute limit on video recording length.
How Create an Account for ScreenPal
Navigate to ScreenPal
Create a free account with your STCC Gmail account.
Watch the starter "Recorder and Video Editor Intros" videos and learn how to use ScreenPal.

How to Use ScreenPal
Open a tab on Chrome browser to the content on your screen you want to record
Navigate to ScreencastOmatic
Create a ScreencastOmatic account using your STCC email
A free account is perfect and allows 15 minutes videos
Launch the recorder
Open Screen Recorder Launcher
Set size within the Screen Recorder
480 X 640 is standard size and most preferred
Adjust the dotted line to the content you desire to record
Click on record
Begin recording
Truncate as you desire
When finished with the entire recording
Save and upload
Save as video file- which will download to where ever you have indicated i.e. Desktop
Click Publish
Click Done
Now your video is on your Desktop OR wherever you had ScreencastOmatic save to
Save on desktop & name i.e. Week 3 Presentation
Save Video directly to your computer ScreenPal
If you prefer, you can store your files on your computer and then upload to YouTube
After recording your video, select Done.
The Video Editor will appear.
The Options menu will appear.
Select Save As Video File
Review Menu
Provide a file type, file name, folder to download the file to, and the quality.
Select Publish to download
Upload your ScreenPal video directly to YouTube
You can upload your recording directly to YouTube from Screencast-o-Matic.
After recording your video, select Done.
The Video Editor will appear.
The Options menu will appear.
Select Upload to YouTube
The window, "Add YouTube Account" will appear. Select Launch Web Browser
Choose the Account you wish to upload the video
Allow access to your account
A message, "Got successful authorization for account" will appear. Select Done
Provide a title, description, privacy setting, category and quality.
Select Publish when ready to upload
Upload videos to your STCC YouTube Account
Use your YouTube account to store your videos. Blackboard is not made to store large video files. Save your video on desktop or device & name i.e. Makeup Tutorial Video
Navigate to your STCC Gmail
Click on apps scroll
A pop up box will appear
Click YouTube
Be sure you are in your STCC email
Click library- left navigation bar
Click camera upload icon
Select Unlisted for Privacy
Upload your video into YouTube
The video will render-length of video will determine time to render
Share the video link, as you would any other YouTube video
