ARIES

ARIES empowers students to clarify, plan, and track their course of study, and should strengthen the advising relationship. Let's dive into ARIES with these short videos to get you started.

Basics of how to log into ARIES

View and Print Program Evaluation

Accessing, viewing and printing the Program Evaluation. The program evaluation is like your road map to graduation, used to guide you through your degree here at STCC. Courses that are required for graduation will be listed there, and as you complete those requirements, they will be marked with your grade and semester of completion. Your advisor  will also use this tool to help to guide you as you meet with them to discuss your next steps and registration.

Advisor Find and Email

Find out who your advisor is, and email them directly through ARIES. You will want to meet with your advisor regularly to discuss any questions or concerns you have about your degree, your classes, and for registration

Print Schedule

Access, view, and print your class schedule if needed. Semester by semester view of classes you have planned and registered for.

Notes and Plan Archive

Review notes and previous appointments with your advisor, leave a note for your advisor.

Drop Class During Add/Drop

Dropping a class during the Add/Drop period, there is no financial penalty or negative impact on your transcript when you drop a class during this time. Be sure to check with your advisor and/or Student Financial Services if you have any questions about how it may impact your progress toward graduation or your financial aid eligibility.

How to Withdraw after Add / Drop

Withdrawing from a class will remove it from your schedule, but wil be listed on your transcript as a "W" and will count as attempted credits. This will not affect your GPA, but may impact your billing, financial aid eligibility, and/or progress toward graduation.

Plan and Register from Program Evaluation

How to plan classes and register right from the Program Evaluation. A great way to see how your schedule might look semester by semester. Be sure to work with your Academic Advisor on this.

Request Review

You can request a review of the planning you have done by choosing this option. It is a good idea to request a review of any changes that you have made to your plan, or planned courses you would like to take that may need approval by your advisor.

Register for Planned Courses

You and your advisor can plan courses ahead of time. Once those courses are available for registration, you can register for them quickly by choosing this option.

Register from Courses & Sections

A quick way to register for specific course(s) during a registration period. This is the best way for a non-matriculated (undeclared) student to choose and register for classes.

Same Course Swap

Want a different time or professor for a course? These steps will get you the same class with a different course section - a great way to keep the same class but with a different day, time, professor, or modality (online/on campus, etc).
