The Profile page includes a way to use basic information, notification settings and how to upload a profile picture. System Settings. You can adjust how course communications are sent to you from your Profile Page.

Basic Information in Blackboard is fed from the ARIES student information system. Your Profile Page is private and is not viewable by fellow students or the public.

What you see in Blackboard comes directly from ARIES. Some information is not available to change due to STCC policies or procedures.
If you encounter an error or wish to inquire about updating information, please contact them.

To change your password, visit the STCC Password Manager
Use your STCC Account Credentials to access all systems, including Blackboard. Both will log you into Blackboard, but only your STCC ID will get you into all STCC technologies.

Yes. It is not required, but you can upload a picture to your profile. You will need a picture ready in advance.
To upload a profile picture to Blackboard
On the Profile Page, look for the generic head image, located on the center top of the screen
Scroll with your mouse to locate the pencil in the upper right portion of the circle
Select the pencil icon
A panel opens from the right
You can upload an image from your computer, or drag the image to the “Upload new profile picture” square in the window.
Your image is automatically saved
To delete, change your picture, repeat the steps to access this Profile Picture window, and select the “Trash Can” in the upper right corner to delete. Then complete steps to upload a new picture or leave without an image.

At your Profile page,
Look for System Settings, then
Global Navigation Settings
Click the link to Email Notifications
To select frequency
Choose to “Email me right away” to get immediate emails, or
Choose “Email me once a day,” to get a summary of all notifications
To select which activities you want, check or uncheck the boxes
New grades and feedback
New message
New content added
New and upcoming due dates
Past due items
New courses available
Click Save to Save selection, “Cancel,” to return without saving

At your Profile page,
Look for System Settings, then
Global Navigation Settings
Click the link to Push Notifications
To select which Push Notification check or uncheck the boxes
New content and discussions
New discussion responses
Click “Save” to save your selection(s), “Cancel” to return without saving
