Helpful Hints 

The Colorado State Conservation Board and staff want to provide some general helpful hints on the process of seeking/or increasing a mill levy for Conservation Districts.

Main points to remember: Prepare, Prepare, Prepare!

Obtaining a mill is a long process, one that involves verifying with County(ies) the Conservation District's legal boundaries, potential hiring legal advise for the process, working with field specialist on public relations and educating your landowners how the mill is good for them!

For legal boundary questions, clarification, documents and maps please contact the CSCB-Broomfield office staff. They will gladly help both you and your county(ies) with obtaining written legal descriptions and boundary statutory clarification.
