Elections

As political subdivisions of the state and thus having elected officials serve on the board, Conservation Districts are REQUIRED to hold elections in odd numbered years (starting in 2023, when it is recommended that they switch to odd years).

Below is a sample of the Oath of Office. ALL conservation district supervisors are required to  complete the Oath of Office. The document is then kept in the Conservation district files, permanently. Conservation Districts are NOT required to submit the oath of office to DOLA (like Title 32 Special Districts are).

For calendar, webinars and form templates check with DOLA's Division of Local Government's "Elections" webpage regularly: https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/dola/special-district-elections

For current election forms, always check DOLA's election form page:  https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/dola/special-district-election-forms
