Certification of Tax Levies
DLG-70
Each Conservation District should receive a form called DLG-70 from the county assessor(s) for which your Conservation District is in those county boundaries. This form fills the requirement in C.R.S. 32-1-1603 to certify mill levies to county commissioners.
The form and more information are available on the Division of Local Affairs (DOLA) website: https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/dola/budgeting-and-finance
Yes! Conservation Districts should fill out the form (even if your Conservation District does NOT collect a mill levy - just put 0).
DOLA has requested, that any questions a Conservation District has on filling out the form to please contact them directly at their main number (303) 864-7720. Cynthia Thayer and Desiree Santerre (both of DOLA) are a GREAT resource for Conservation Districts with this form.
If your Conservation District has been filing out the DLG-70, please continue to do so. If your Conservation District has NOT been filing out the DLG-70, you may need to contact your county(ies) to verify they have the correct information on file for your Conservation District.
Please note, some counties deadline for submitting the form back to them is December 15th.
