State Office of Risk Management - Professional Liability

Per the attached attorney review from Will Allen, First Assistant Attorney General dated April 9, 2021 the State Office of Risk Management provides liability overage for Soil Conservation District board members in the State of Colorado. 

Coverage is afforded on a fiscal year cycle beginning July 1st and contributions are established for the following year around May. To insure that coverage is in place on July 1st, Districts interested in participating in the Professional Liability coverage via the State Risk Management Pool should reach out to Risk Management before March 1st of the year they are interesting in joining.

This coverage is afforded through the Colorado Department of Agriculture’s membership in the State Risk Management Liability Pool. Annual contributions will be paid to the Department of Agriculture on July 1st of the policy year.
