IRA - DCT
A federal, state and local partnership to deliver natural resource conservation technical assistance to private landowners. Open to ALL Conservation Districts in Colorado who have met the state statutory requirements to be a district in "Good Standing".
To preserve or increase conservation technical assistance to landowners.
Allows applicants to apply for 80% cost-share to employ technical staff to implement IRA conservation practices/planning on private land.
Applications are solicited in the summer for the following calendar year.
All applicants must verify their UEI number and district contact information is current on Sam.gov. Note: Annual updates to this system are now required by the U.S. Government.
All records of this program are subject to audit by the CSCB.
The four main categories are as follows:
Contract administration: Development of contract support documents and maintaining performance of IRA activities.
Conservation Planning and File Management: Tasks include assisting with: development of plan maps, CST plan development, inventory and evaluation, on-site planning, correspondence development and filing, and locating practices.
Conservation Practice Implementation: Tasks include assisting with: practice design, design worksheets, practice layout in the field, surveying, environmental compliance, utilities, staking practices, inspection, and certifying practices (engineer and/or agronomic practices)
Outreach and Marketing: Tasks include assisting with: on-site visits with customers, newsletters, meetings, training sessions (may lead these), local work group coordination, and accepting/processing applications
